Refund & Exchange Policy - The Crafty Hearts

1. Our Commitment & General Guidelines: Welcome to The Crafty Hearts! Based right here in Red Deer, Alberta, we put so much love and care into handcrafting every piece across our collections: The Secret Shelf, Grain & Grove, Pours & More, Tiny Treasures, and Willow & Twine. Because of the unique, handmade, and sometimes mysterious nature of our gifts, we have put together these helpful guidelines regarding returns, refunds, and exchanges to ensure everyone has a wonderful experience. 

2. Online Orders: All Sales Final: Since our custom gifts are handmade just for you (and often involve hygienic items like our beautiful baby shower bundles and diaper cakes), all online sales are final. We want you to absolutely love your purchase, so please take a moment to double-check the advertised sizes, colors, materials, and genres before completing your checkout! 

3. Custom Commissions & Bespoke Orders: We pour our hearts into bringing your visions to life! Because custom commissions and bespoke orders are tailored specifically to your personal specifications, they are final sale. The initial 50% deposit we require to begin production is non-refundable, as it secures the special materials and time needed just for your one-of-a-kind piece. 

4. The Secret Shelf (Wrapped Reads): All of our "blind date with a book" sales are final. The real magic of our Wrapped Reads is in the surprise! Even if you happen to receive a title you've already read, we intentionally pack the outside of the book with curated, thematic goodies to make the whole experience a joy. Because of this added value, these mystery bundles are ineligible for return or exchange. 

5. Local In-Person Market Exchanges (Red Deer & Central Alberta): If we have the pleasure of seeing you in person at a local pop-up event in Central Alberta, we do offer a quick exchange window! We are happy to exchange items purchased in person at a market event under the following conditions: 

• Point of Sale Only: An exchange will be happily authorized if you request it directly with us at the booth before you head off to enjoy the rest of the event. 
• Condition: The product must be completely unopened and unaltered in any manner. 
• Once you leave the market, the sale becomes final and is ineligible for exchange. 

6. Damaged Orders (Canada Post Shipping) Oh no! While all sales are final, we absolutely want you to be thrilled with your new goodies. If your item had a rough journey, arriving damaged due to transit mishandling, please reach out to us within 48 hours of delivery. Just email us with some clear photos of both the damaged item and the Canada Post shipping container. We will review these rare situations on a case-by-case basis to help find a fair and reasonable resolution for you!
